This little mishap occurred last weekend.
Urban was jumping on a pillow on the ground while holding on the the back of the couch. His mouth came down on the frame and the inner lip ripped!
Since we don't have insurance I emailed two family dentists and got their opinion.
We decided to let it heal on it's own, keeping a watch for discoloration and infection. It seems to be taking care of itself just fine. Urban is able to eat and drink normally.
Now that I think of it, we are very lucky this has been as bad as it has gotten for Urban's 4 active years!!

Okay, a warning would have been nice for that one. Ironically, Brigitta had to have that thingy snipped by our family doctor because it attached too low and could have made her teeth crooked. The dentist told us most kids rip theirs by the time they're 4 or 5. I guess this is Urban's turn. Good luck!
Ouch is right! Looks like he is pretty brave to let you photo it. How did Nate react? Did he pass out?
