Yesterday the kids, Urban, Mekhi and Scotty had school. We went to the park for a few hours and I got some binding done on a set of placemats. It was pretty windy, but fun. Granny joined us for a while as did Jen and her kids and then Lori and Grant came. I love to watch the boys play, they are uninhibited and funny!
On Wednesday, Urban, Aunt Mari, Mekhi and I went to Salt Lake City to see the Circus Parade. Long story short - we stopped in the middle of a road, got out and watched as a grouping of clowns, a fleet of trapeeze artists, 5 elephants, and a goofy car passed by in less than 40 seconds. That was IT!
Now what do we do? Ride Trax ofcourse! And so we did! First we rode to the drug store to get some meds for my headache and soreness. Then we talked to some transients for a while. We boarded again to go have some lunch at Chili's, where we ate yummy chips and salsa and I had my 'regular'; Cajun Chicken Sandwich. Urban of course did NOT eat his Quesidilla meal, but drank Sprit and Chocolate Milk at the same time!
Urban then wanted to go to the City Library, a favorite place of ours to spend time. The boys played on the computers in the childres area for a bit and Aunt Mari read them stories and let them play in the "Attic".
Trax satisfied the boys for a while, but what they really wanted to ride was "the blue one, like Thomas!" aka the Frontrunner that is an express train from SLC up to Ogden. So, we arranged to meet Nathan at the stop in Bountiful and return with him to SLC. Another LONG story short - we did that.
Within 3 minutes of heading home, you guessed it, the boys were out cold! A good day.
